TORCHS Field Safety Rules
1. All AMA safety rules apply.(AMA members kit)
2. Every flier MUST be an AMA member.
3. Only Members and Guests of members are allowed to fly.
4. Allowable frequencies are those specified by the AMA Frequency plan.
5. Transmiitter frequency flags and channel numbers are required as per
AMA recommendations.
6. No flying is allowed over the spectator/pit areas of the flying fleld
and over any designated NO-OVERFLY zone(s).
7. NO fixed wing aircraft allowed in the presence of helicopter flying.
8. No flying into or out of the pit area. Engine starting in designated
areas only (see field layout). The rotor head of the helicopter must be
held securely while the engine is running and the helicopter is behind
the flight line.
9. Aircraft Operation Safety Requirements:
a. Any new or rebuilt model must be inspected and approved safe by an
Advanced pilot.
b. Any Novice pilot must be accompanied by another pilot as an observer,
when any other person is at the field.
c. It is recommended that no one fly alone.
d. Pilots will be rated according the schedule outlined in the club rules:
Beginner, Novice, Intermediate, and Advanced.
